In this travel guide, Sopitcha Cn, a Thai traveller shares her four-day adventure in the vibrant city of Singapore. Through her detailed experience, let’s follow her journey, complete with places she visited and the transportation plans she followed.

Her journey began when she arrived at Changi Airport at 4:35 pm. After a delicious meal at Shake Shack Singapore at the airport, she made her way to the city using Singapore’s efficient public transport. Starting with the East West Line from Changi Airport (CG2) to Tanah Merah (EW14) and then to Outram Park (EW16), she transitioned to the Thomson-East Coast Line at Outram Park (TE17), headed to Havelock (TE16). From there, she exited at Exit 5 and took a seven-minute walk to her accommodation at the Furama RiverFront Hotel.

To plan your public transport routes and fares, she recommends using the online resource available at https://mrt.sg/fare and stations at https://gothere.sg/m.

On Day 2, her journey led her to one of Singapore’s most exciting attractions: Universal Studios Singapore. She made her way back through the same path she came the day before, but this time took the North East Line (purple line) to HarbourFront (NE1).

From HarbourFront, she headed to VivoCity Station, located at the top of the mall. Once there, she followed the signs to board the Sentosa Express, a monorail that quickly transported her to the Waterfront Station, the gateway to Universal Studios Singapore.

After an exciting day of rides and attractions at Universal Studios Singapore, the return journey took her back via the same route—Sentosa Express back to Clarke Quay. Known for its vibrant nightlife and diverse dining options, Clarke Quay is the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure.

While at Clarke Quay, she had the chance to try some delectable dishes. One standout was the Chili Crab, a famous Singaporean seafood delicacy, perfectly spiced and served with steamed buns. Another recommendation is Hainanese Chicken Rice, a comforting dish with tender chicken and flavourful rice.

For a taste of Asian fusion, she sampled Laksa, a spicy noodle soup combining flavours from Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. Lastly, she indulged in Satay, skewered and grilled meat served with a savoury peanut sauce.

Clarke Quay offers a culinary journey through the flavours of Singapore, making it an ideal spot to relax and refuel after a thrilling day at Universal Studios. She then retraced her steps through the efficient public transportation system, returning via the North East Line from Clarke Quay back to her accommodation at Furama RiverFront Hotel.

On the third day of her trip, she started the day with a unique experience at the Singapore Turf Club for horse riding. The club is about a 25-minute ride away from her hotel, and she opted to take a Grab ride for convenience.

After a morning of horse riding, she returned to her hotel to rest and refresh. In the afternoon, she ventured out to visit the iconic Gardens by the Bay, one of Singapore’s most renowned attractions. The gardens comprise three main parks: the Flower Dome, Cloud Forest and the Supertree Grove. All of these parks require tickets, which can be booked online at https://www.gardensbythebay.com.sg.

To reach Gardens by the Bay, she took the MRT and exited at Gardens by the Bay station (TE22). Once there, she explored the stunning gardens, marvelling at the lush landscapes and futuristic attractions.

As the day drew to a close, she made her way back to her hotel, reflecting on the wonders of her day and planning for her next adventures.

On the last day of Supitcha’s Singapore trip, she began her day with a visit to the National Gallery Singapore. To get there, she took the metro to Marina Bay station (TE20), then switched to the red line and got off at City Hall station (NS25).

After exploring the art collections at the National Gallery, she enjoyed a meal at Smoke & Mirrors restaurant. Perched on the rooftop of the National Gallery, Smoke & Mirrors offers breathtaking views of the city skyline. The restaurant is known for its inventive cocktails and contemporary European cuisine. Some standout menu items include the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, featuring tender beef with arugula and parmesan, and the succulent Lobster Risotto with a rich and creamy texture.

After her meal, she headed back to Marina Bay, taking in the stunning views of the iconic area. She then revisited Clarke Quay, enjoying its vibrant atmosphere and lively riverside scene before returning to her hotel to conclude her final day in Singapore.
